Fionn Griffiths places 6th at World Championships!
This past weekend in Rotorua, New Zealand, Norco Factory downhill racer, Fionn Griffiths, confirmed that she belongs in the top 10 in the world rankings. The ever-consistent Fionn handled the extremely wet and slippery Kiwi DH course with authority and powered her Norco Team DH to a strong sixth place finish. This is Norco’s best finish at the World Championships and our first time in the top 10. Congratulations, Fionn!

Mt. Ngongotaha’s nasty course conditions proved to be too harsh for some of the world’s top XC racers this weekend. But while some of the sport’s elite succumbed to the elements in what became more a battle against nature than a battle between competitors, Norco’s Catharine “Kika” Pendrel fought to the finish. After 2 hours and 18 minutes of suffering, Catharine crossed the line just ahead of the reigning Norba XC Champion, Shonny Vanlandingham, in a very respectable 32nd position. This was Norco’s first appearance in the women’s XC at the World Championships. Great performance, Kika!

Peter Stace-Smith Nominated for Mountain Bike Hall of Fame
Just last month, Pete was nominated as an inductee into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. As you can imagine, he's pretty psyched! (but once again, he'd never run around telling everyone. In fact, most the people at the office here probably don't even know yet) The crazy thing is, as I look around the office, I can see at least a half dozen other guys that belong there as well. As many of you know, Norco has been around for over 43 years now, and most of the key people steering our company have been at it for 20 to 25+ years. That's impressive!

These are guys who have played a huge role in the evolution of the mountain bike, followed the ups and downs of the road riding scene, and observed all the inner workings of the bicycling industry. Best of all, they're all just as stoked on riding as when they first started.

Check out the link below to read Pete's original nomination letter, it's an interesting piece of mountain biking history
